Biography

Jarod is a Pretender, a rare kind of genius who can become anyone he chooses to be. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, soldiers. If there is a skill to learn or a role to inhabit, Jarod can master it. That ability once made him a prisoner.

As a child, Jarod was kidnapped by a powerful think tank known as the Center, an organization that exploited his intellect for profit and control. While in captivity, he formed a close bond with Miss Parker, the daughter of Mr. Parker, the Center’s Chairman. They were each other’s first love, finding brief moments of comfort in an otherwise cold and calculated environment. Their connection was broken when Miss Parker was sent away to boarding school after the brutal death of her mother.

In his mid to late twenties, Jarod escaped. His freedom came at a cost. Miss Parker, now an agent of the Center, was assigned to track him down alongside his mentor Sydney and a brilliant hacker named Broots. For seven years, they chased him across the globe. During that time, Jarod used his abilities to help the vulnerable and the forgotten, seeking redemption for the harm the Center forced him to cause.

Over time, Jarod was reunited with pieces of the family he had lost. The pursuit between him and Miss Parker grew more complicated, shaped by shared history, lingering feelings, and buried truths. Everything changed after the death of Miss Parker’s baby brother. Disillusioned, she turned against the Center and joined Jarod.

Together, they brought the organization down. In the aftermath, they rekindled their relationship and chose a new path forward. They married and settled in Los Angeles, building a life on their own terms. Miss Parker opened a security agency, while Jarod used the resources he took from the Center to continue traveling the world, helping those who could not help themselves.
