Samantha Jones Issues Statement Clarifying Background of Kendis Black and Requesting Privacy Amid Public Speculation
New York, NY – April 24, 2008 — In response to increasing public speculation and media attention surrounding the background of Kendis Black, publicist Samantha Jones has released an official statement outlining key facts regarding her early life, recognition by the Crown, and a formal request for privacy.
The statement confirms that Kendis Black survived a terrorist attack in infancy that resulted in the deaths of both of her parents, who served as law enforcement officers. She was subsequently raised in Surrey by extended family members. At age eleven, she attended private school and later played a pivotal role in assisting authorities in the apprehension of the same terrorist responsible for her parents’ deaths. In recognition of her contributions and service, she was honored as a Dame by Queen Mary.
The Crown also issued a posthumous pardon to Sirius Black and formally conferred upon Kendis the hereditary title of Lady Black.
According to Jones, Kendis Black is requesting that the public and media refrain from further speculation regarding her private history and the identities of her surviving relatives.
“Ms. Black has endured a lifetime of public consequence attached to deeply personal tragedy,” the statement reads. “She is not a public institution, nor a historical case study. She is a private individual who deserves space to live without ongoing intrusion.”
The statement emphasizes that while these events are part of her history, they do not define her present life, which is centered on her work, personal relationships, and desire for privacy.
