    Biography

Kendis Black’s life changed before she could even remember it. Protecting her from Voldemort, James and Lily Potter, her parents, died at his hands; his curse rebounded, leaving him bodiless. After that, Kendis was sent to live with her awful relatives, where she spent her childhood being treated more like a servant than family. Everything shifted when she got her Hogwarts letter at eleven and found out she was a witch. From there, it was seven wild years of magic, chaos, and fighting against Voldemort until she finally killed him at seventeen.

After the war, Kendis got engaged to Ginny Weasley and joined the Auror Corps. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out between her and Ginny. A few years later, she met Josefa Juneberry, a sweet and creative tailor at Madam Malkin’s, and sparks flew instantly. Around that same time, Kendis also met Chester Coil, a Wizengamot liaison who became dangerously obsessed with her after she turned him down. While all of that was happening, Kendis began her gender transition and came out as transgender and nonbinary. Sadly, this opened her up to a lot of judgment from the public.

When Chester’s behavior started getting out of control, Kendis tried to get help, but no one took her seriously. Six months later, she came home to the unthinkable: Chester had murdered Josefa. The trial that followed was brutal, and the press was vicious, focusing more on her identity than on the crime. Tired, heartbroken, and done with the Ministry’s failures, Kendis left the Auror Corps and moved to Los Angeles to start over as a motorcycle mechanic.
