Yeah, I’m extra. I’m just going to admit this here and let the chips fall where they may. I built a website for a fanfiction I’m not getting paid for but I fell in love with this story so much that I just dived right in.
If you don’t know, I’m a professional author. I actually make money making up my own stories but this year has been so hard for me. I have been struggling with both my mental and physical health. Especially right now, I have been dealing with migraines that have kept me out of my home office (my favorite place in my house) and in bed. I’m currently writing this in my bed.
But this story idea hit like a tidal wave and it wouldn’t let me go. I thought after I abandoned the Amalagation verse that I was done with writing fanfiction all together and don’t get me started on Harry Potter. I have been dragging J.K. Rowling since 2019 and I firmly believed that I wouldn’t touch anything that had her name on it.
Anyone who has ever followed me on Twitter, Threads, and Blue Sky knows that my opinions on that old white woman is scathing. But as my life got worse, this story hung over my head like a life and I unapologetically grabbed it. Now, I have a website for a story that has only 17 kudos and nothing on Wattpad.
And don’t get it twisted: I am deeply appreciative of every reader who has left a kudos and for my team of betas who have been riding on this crazy train from the very beginning.
I was so obsessed with this damn story that I wrote 26,000 words in less than a month. The Temporary Spouse is almost done and will probably be over my initial 30,000-word goal. I love Tony Stark and I love my version of Harry Potter and I love how they love each other. More so than I did with Aster and Bruce Wayne in Playing Hero.
I have been debating on getting some art of Tony and Kendis together because that’s how much I’m obsessed.
So I’m going to be here a while and I’m already outlining the next story in this series. Buckle up, buttercups! This is going to be a long and bumpy ride!
