From Some Other Beginning’s End

I’m done! I’m done with the rough draft of The Temporary Spouse. I am so proud of myself.

I began writing this story in mid September and it quickly just took over my life. But I don’t regret it in the slightest. This fic has been such a joy in my life and it shows how FAST I wrote this fanfic. 48,785 words in less than 2 months.

To compare: The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis is 38,000 words and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl is around 30,000 words. To date, this is the longest piece of fiction I have ever written.

My book Splinter, my diverse Sleepy Hollow retelling only got to 39,000 words. One thousand short of being considered a novel. I’m just screaming because I have come so far in six years. When I wrote Playing Hero, it took me a year to finish it even though it only clocks in at 36,000 words.

Look at what writing consistently for six years and consistent feedback will get you!

But I’m far from done with the Temporary Spouse or the With the Ring series. I only finished the ROUGH DRAFT. I still have to rewrite them and send them off to my betas for editing.

I also have started writing the next fic in the series. Tony still has to become Iron Man and that is going to be fun to play with. I know don’t get many comments on this site but I still see the analytics and I know quite a few of you who are reading this fic not only AO3, and Wattpad. You are reading this on the site and taking advantage of all the features.

And it means the world that ya’ll are enjoying this fanfic.
