I have been so surprised at how well people are reacting to this story. Not on Wattpad because there is this type of alchemy you have to do to even get readers but on archive of your own? Ya’ll are showing up and showing out and I’m so happy. This is why I have decided to do weekly updates instead of bi-monthly. I might go back to bi-monthly if I find the post schedule too intense but I’m having way too much fun now.
I have just finished writing the rough draft of chapter 21 and I am also in the process of rewriting (because I can’t help it, I’m a drafter until the day I die) of chapters 7 and 8. I just hit 30,000 words in this story and I can’t believe I got here in a month and a half. As far as what I’m writing right now, I want to get all get all the way up to chapter ten so I will have a lot of chapters in the buffer. It’s been fun and such a lifeline to me during these difficult times with my chronic illness. I have been suffering from migraines so severe that I couldn’t get out of bed for weeks and now I’m slowly crawling out of that. I also have a ton of writing work to do (not fanfic) and this fanfic series.
I just want to thank everyone so much for showing up and showing up. I might drop chapters here early, or hell even deleted scenes as well. I’m not charging at all (not even passively) for this because first of all, I don’t charge for fanfic (it’s gouache) and I am doing this for trans charity. However, I love this series so much and I have such big plans. I also plan on writing the character biographies more (they are sparse) for the characters that are already up in the series. I might do that once I’m done with The Temporary Spouse.
I’m also deb rating on getting some art done of Kendis and Tony together because I love getting custom commissions done and again I’m totally in love with this series. Right now, I’m just busy setting up this series for the long term. I want this series to exist for a long time and I want to make sure that I’m setting up the framework. I want this series to be like big crossover fanfic series that I loved in the past like Wandererverse, Journeyverse, and Sylum Clan. I’m thinking on that scale but I don’t want to lose the core of this story with With The Ring verse: The power of love. The tagline for this entire series is: Love Always Wins.
And I truly believe that, no matter what type of love. Love will always win over the power of hate. So that’s what I’m doing right now. I’m trying to get back into the swing of my routine, get back to what I love (writing) and just lapping up every bit of praise I get when it comes to this series. Ya’ll have really been the best!
