The Hardest of Roads

I’m not really writing anything this week.  It’s hard for me to write because I broke up with my partner of six years on Tuesday and it’s really hard to be happy or to do anything at all without sobbing. I feel much now but I decided to take a week off from Kendis and Tony.  And I don’t regret it.  I love those two but they can be a bit much! 🤣 I am so surprised at how far I have fell for these two fools and the world I built.

Creation can really save the soul, I swear.

I am seven chapters from being done with the rough draft and I’m close to starting the second big fic of this series. The title I won’t announce here until I’m ready.  Beyond anything, this series just lets me be free without the pressure of being an author. It shouldn’t make sense, because I do this for a living but I just feel like the world slips off my shoulders the moment I open up my word processor and write.

I have so much planned for these two  and it’s killing me not to talk about it but what can I do?

Anyway, The Temporary Spouse has hit 113 kudos as of writing this post and 134 subscriptions. That is fucking bonkers! I never thought anyone would give a shit about this series but yet here I am with over a hundred people reading this.  I’m so overwhelmed and profoundly grateful.  This series has been the one thing that has really kept me going through the worst of the turmoil my life is in right now.

It just goes to show that there is audience for diversity be it: original books or fanfic.  Take that! Everyone who made me feel that I would fail flat on my face.

Okay, so one last thing I want to talk about is the updated Downloads page.  I have been starting to tip my toe in videos. I want to eventually make my own opening credits and book trailers for my stuff. And canva made it so easy! I spent so much time on there already and so I have been making videos.

Oh, and I forgot! I will absolutely be scheduling episodes for those folks who come on to the site. I keep forgetting but I just going to schedule shit ahead of time. Thanks so much for being awesome.
