“Why did we do this again?” Tony complained as he walked down a street in West Hollywood. The streets were teemed with people as Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” blared from the loudspeakers, assaulting his ears. It was hot and humid, and Tony was re-evaluating every life choice that had led him to this.

Kendis rolled her eyes at him. “Well, I could have told you that wearing polyester pants would be a bad idea.”

“Hey, these joggers make my ass look amazing.”

“They do,” Kendis admitted with a shrug, “but they are also polyester. I tried to warn you that polyester and humidity don’t mix.”

Tony was wearing a pair of pink, purple, and blue bisexual ombre joggers that he accidentally stumbled upon on Etsy when he was scrolling through his phone one late night. Before he knew it, he not only ordered the pants, but he also ordered a snarky white t-shirt that said “I just look straight” in bi colors.

Tony wasn’t planning on wearing it, but when Kendis brought up going to Pride this year, Tony realized he had to. Especially since, at the same time last year, he was too busy trying to escape captivity to experience their first Pride together as a couple.

This year, Tony went all out and even bought a sweet pair of custom bi pride sunglasses. And throwing on some white sneakers to finish the outfit, he thought he looked pretty good this morning.

Now, Tony was sweaty and tired, and all he wanted to do was dive under the nearest shade.

Tony shot Kendis a resentful look. She being the ever sensible one between the two of them Kendis was wearing a black halter crop top, a pair of daisy dukes he was pretty sure she had been wearing when she had been pole dancing at Juicy Lucy’s (Tony suspected Kendis wore it on purpose to make him suffer), and she had even exchanged the combat boots she usually wore for a pair of black Birkenstocks.

Pinned on her top were a bi-flag and a trans flag pin. It was subtle, but that has always been Kendis’s style. Hell, Alke, who was trotting next to her was more decked out than Kendis. She wore a pride flag handkerchief around her neck.

Kendis stopped and then dragged him into a nearby alley.

“You want to make out,” Tony wagged his eyebrows.

Kendis rolled her eyes and took out her wand. He threw a wary look at the death stick. She rolled her eyes at him and then murmured a spell.

And then a feeling of cool air rushed over him, and it felt like he had suddenly walked into an air-conditioned room. Tony sighed in relief.

“Thank God,” Tony muttered as he leaned against the wall. Then a thought came to him, and he opened his eyes and shot Kendis a suspicious look.

“Why didn’t you do this before?”

Kendis just gave him a blank stare. Alke looked back and forth between her parents like she was watching a tennis match.

“You did it on purpose!”

“Well, you didn’t want to listen.” Kendis rolled her eyes, “And as Isiah loves to tell me: a hard head makes a soft ass.”

Tony opened his mouth and then closed it. “You are evil!”

Kendis just shrugged and threw him an amused smirk. “And yet, you proposed to me anyway.”

Even though Tony was annoyed, he secretly got a kick out of his spouse being so petty. He snorted and then looked at Alke, giving him a wide doggy grin. ‘Great, even the mutt was mocking him. ‘

Tony sighed and pulled Kendis into his arms and kissed her. She sighed and gave in easily as his mouth moved over hers. His tongue slipped inside her mouth to tangle with hers in a familiar dance that always went straight to his cock.

“Turns out?” Tony gasped when they broke apart. “I find you being evil kinda hot.”

Kendis giggled and slapped him on the shoulder. “Come on! I heard Durand Bernarr was performing soon, and I don’t want to miss it.”

Tony gave a put-upon sigh as she laced her fingers with his and pulled him out of the alley. But at least he didn’t have to deal with the relentless June heat anymore.
